Brewgravity

Brew Better Beer

Design recipes, plan your brew day, track fermentation, and manage inventory.

Free homebrewing software that's almost as good as the beer you'll make with it

Less bookkeeping

Focus on the fun parts

Version history, inventory counts, recalculated numbers after every tweak — Brewgravity tracks it all so you do not have to.

Automatic recipe versioning

Change the recipe. Keep every version.

Edit the grain bill or hop schedule and OG, FG, ABV, IBU and color update as you type. Save a version before a big change, and every brew session pins the exact recipe you brewed.

  • Stats recalculate as you type — OG, FG, ABV, IBU, color
  • Named versions, each with the numbers it produced
  • Restore an old version, or brew straight from one

Automated Inventory Management

Paste your order. Your inventory updates itself.

Drop in a supplier receipt or a scribbled list. Every line gets parsed, converted, and merged with what you already have — no row-by-row data entry.

  • Free-form text in, structured inventory out
  • Automatic lb → kg conversion and duplicate merging
  • Fermentables, hops, yeast, and misc sorted for you

Built for brew day

From mash to fermenter

A timed checklist for the day, and a fermentation log that picks up where it leaves off. Quick to use with wet hands, saved as you go.

Brew day

A checklist that keeps time with you

Every recipe becomes a staged brew day plan with a running timer and hop additions spelled out where you need them.

  • Timed steps generated from the recipe itself
  • Hop charges shown inline: amount, timing, alpha acid
  • Pinned to the exact recipe version you brewed

Fermentation

Watch the gravity fall

Log gravity, temperature and pH as the beer ferments. Each reading plots against your target OG and FG so you know when it is done.

  • Gravity-over-time chart with target OG/FG guides
  • Temperature, pH, and notes on every entry
  • Every reading kept with the session it came from

Questions brewers ask before signing up

Is Brewgravity really free?

Yes, and there will always be a free plan. Unlimited recipes, unlimited brew sessions, fermentation logging and inventory. No trial clock, no credit card.

Do I have to install anything?

No. Brewgravity runs in any browser — same recipes on your laptop and your phone. No download, no license key.

Can I bring my recipes over from Brewfather, BeerSmith or Brewer’s Friend?

Yes. Export BeerXML or BeerJSON from your current software and drag the file in. Fermentables, hops, yeast, mash steps, batch size and efficiency all come across, and everything exports back out whenever you want.

Does it work offline on brew day?

Yes. Your data is cached locally, so the brew day checklist, timers and fermentation log keep working if the Wi-Fi drops. Changes sync when you reconnect.

What brewing calculations does it do?

Original and final gravity, ABV, IBU by Tinseth, SRM color by Morey, apparent and real attenuation, calories, BU:GU ratio, pre-boil gravity and volume, strike water temperature and volume, mash schedules, priming sugar, keg pressure, and water chemistry with mash pH estimation.
