This Privacy Policy describes how Brew Gravity (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use brewgravity.com and related services.

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and a hashed password. We also record whether your email is verified. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email, name, and profile image from Google, and we store OAuth tokens needed to maintain that connection. When you are signed in, we store session information including your IP address and browser user agent.

You can sign in with email and password, Google, or a magic link sent to your email.

App data

We store the content you create in Brew Gravity, including recipes, ingredients, brew sessions, fermentation logs, inventory items, recipe version history, and AI-generated recipe previews. This data is linked to your account and stored in our database.

AI features

If you use AI chat or recipe previews, your messages and relevant recipe or brew data are sent to Google Gemini for processing. We store your chat messages and token usage counts on our servers. AI chat data is not stored in your browser’s offline cache.

API keys

If you create an API key, we store a hashed key, a name you assign, and usage metadata such as request count and last used date.

Local storage

Your browser stores a local copy of your app data in IndexedDB for offline use. We also use localStorage for UI preferences such as unit system, sidebar state, and chat panel settings. Local data is cleared when you sign out.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and OAuth sign-in. Google Analytics sets cookies to measure site usage. We do not use advertising cookies.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the app is used. It records the pages you visit along with information your browser sends, such as your IP address, user agent, approximate location, and referring site. This data is tied to a Google Analytics identifier, not to your Brew Gravity account.

Third-party services

We use third parties to operate Brew Gravity:

• Cloudflare — hosting, database, and platform logs
• Google — OAuth sign-in, Gemini AI processing, and Google Analytics
• Resend — transactional email (verification, password reset, magic links)
• Mintlify — documentation at /docs, separate from the app

What we do not do

We do not use advertising trackers or third-party error tracking services, and we do not sell your personal information.

How we use your information

We use your information to provide and operate the service, authenticate you, sync your data across devices, send account-related emails, and power AI features you request.

Retention and deletion

We retain your data while your account is active. There is no in-app account deletion feature at this time. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at [email protected].

Security

Passwords are stored hashed. Production traffic uses HTTPS. We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post changes on this page. Continued use of Brew Gravity after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
